Biography 

 

Tom Lazar is quickly gaining recognition as one of the top new nature photographers in North America.  His work can be seen in both regional and national publications.  Nature Photographer, Birder's World, and Wisconsin Trails magazines have all used his images.  In addition, his work has been used in travel guides, music CD's, postcards, and calendars.  His images are represented by two agencies.  In North America - Animals, Animals, Earth Scenes.  And in 1998 his work was selected to be included in the new BBC Natural History Unit Picture Library.

 

Tom is a charter member of NANPA, the North American Nature Photographers Association.  NANPA's goal is the promotion of the ethical photography of our environment.  He conducts both photographic and natural history lectures and workshops for many groups, organizations and nature centers each year.

 

His fine art prints have won numerous awards at fine art shows and competitions.  All fine art pieces are limited edition, signed and numbered art prints created by Tom Lazar.  He uses both 35mm and medium formats in the creation of his images.  Both type C and type R color prints are used.  Each type of print has advantages,  and the type used is selected to enhance the qualities and mood of each individual image.
