"Island in the Sky" Red Barn - Baraboo Hills, Wisconsin Winter is a time of extremes, at times it can be cold, dark, and gloomy and then a change in weather brings magic to the landscape. I found this barn atop one of the rolling hills near Devils Lake in central Wisconsin. The scene below was dark and gray, but the clouds had fallen enough to touch the tops of the hills depositing a wonderful kaleidoscope of hoer frost everywhere. Here in these isolated spots in the clouds winters brilliance had revealed itself. |
