Lake Mc Donald - Glacier National Park

All most everyone visiting Glacier National Park in Montana passes by Lake Mc Donald.  The main road (Going To The Sun Road)  through the park runs along it's Eastern shoreline before climbing almost thirty five hundred feet over the continental divide at Logan Pass. On this my last evening in the park I took the time to walk and explore it's pebble shoreline.  It was a magnificent evening.  Warm summer temperatures and calm winds producing a sheet of glass on the Lakes surface reflecting the clouds and mountain in the distance. Two sounds disturbed the silence.  The occasional car passing by and the jumping of trout sending ripples through the calm clear water.
