"Sail Away" Lake Michigan, Wisconsin I had been trying to capture an image of sailboats for many years. I had a specific look I had envisioned, a boat against a sky of interesting clouds. After spending numerous occasions camped out near marinas to get the image I wanted, I had many images, but none captured the mood I was looking for. Then, the day I got this image I arrived early to a spot in Door County, WI to photograph sunset. I was not even thinking about sailboats. But, as luck would have it a small sailboat past by near enough to record the image I had been looking for.
