"Who!"

Great Grey Owl, Minnesota

The winter of 2005 brought one of the largest owl invasions in decades.  Once or twice a decade the mole population in Canada crashes sending thousands of owls south looking for food.  People came from across the country to traveled the back roads of Northern Minnesota and Wisconsin to observe these predators.  Being careful not to spook and further stress these birds I was able to position myself close enough to witness and capture these magnificent birds hunting.
